​​Joanna Duncan RTS ARAD Solo Sealis a registered Teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance, London and USA with over 30 years experience in the teaching of Classical Ballet and is a member of the International Dance Council UNESCO CID. Paris.

Joanna’s  extensive knowledge  of the teaching of Classical Ballet from beginner levels to advanced professional levels across the Classical Ballet training programs of RAD and Vaganova Classical Ballet  and open repertoire. Her great love of sharing this knowledge has brought wonderful success to the many students and professional artists she has trained over  the years. Her teaching methodology uplifts students to a positive outlook helping them to aspire towards high artistic and technical levels with confidence.

Summer Intensive chaperone is Joanna Duncan RTS ARAD Registered Teacher with The Royal Academy of Dance USA. 



Tony 'Grasshopper' Mitch began his dance training in jazz, acrobatics, and contemporary at an early age. As a teenager, he performed on tour across the country. After graduating from high school with honors, he attended  college at the City College of New York where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Design with a  minor in Theater Production and Management. While working toward his degree, he began a career in circus arts. He has enjoyed marrying his dance background with the challenges and physicality of circus.   As a professional he has had the opportunity to perform for Elton John, Hermes, and numerous other names in the entertainment and fashion industries. Grasshopper joined Hybrid Movement Company in March of 2014.   

 

 

​​​​​​​​Françoise Voranger- Program Leader- is Creator at Hybrid Movement Company TM and the  Movement  as Metaphor Training Program TM- Member of the International Dance Council UNESCO CID, Paris.  Françoise has  extensive education and knowledge in both dance and acrobatics, her main teacher’s being  Anatoli Nisnevich,  Joanna Duncan, Vina Lee,  Lu Ping, and Ivo Gueourgiev. Françoise trained at the Royal Ballet School, London on full scholarship. She has performed with Royal Ballet, London,  DeAngelo Productions, Gala of the Stars - Benois De La Danse, Bolshoi Ballet Theater Moscow, Russia, Ballet NY / Hamburg Ballet / Australian Ballet / UNESCO Gala, The Actors Fund, New Victory Theater  and more, she has performed with Christopher Harrison's AntiGravity NYC, Little Cinema, Acroback, Cirque du Soleil, Aerial Artistry and Chinese Ministry of Culture to name a few. Françoise is a 2014 STREB EACP grant awardee. She has created production all over the world including the Hanover Theatre, Clara's Dream A Nutcracker Story, McNally's Fate, and The Eagle Spirit at NY City Center Theater presented by Rolex and CTFD,Schedule 40,  Fluid of Dusk, Babel.  Françoise worked alongside Christopher Harrison for the creation of H&M Alexander Wang Fashion Show, choreographed and performed for the Stella MacCartney/Adidas 2016 Spring Collection, and Collaborative productions with Little Cinema include The Fifth Element as LeeLoo/ Never Ending Story, Requiem for a Dream to name a few.  ​​​​​ http://www.danceartistsmanagement.com/fran-oise--voranger.html

Alexandra Apjarova -American Academy of Dramatic Arts - Uta Hagen technique, London Contemporary Dance School, Academy Of Culture Arts Slovakia , National Champion Rhythmic  Gymnastics Slovakia .  A versatile and passionate performing artist specializing in aerial art, dance,  choreography, and  coaching.  A native of Slovakia, and based in New York since 1994, her work enjoys  international recognition.  She has performed and Choreographed for Cirque Du Soleil show’s including Delirium, Saltimbocca.  Performance  highlights include  Kenny    Ortega (Director of Dirty Dancing) Michael Jackson in the “This is it” project until his  untimely passing. Alexandra also had the honor to be a part of  Antigravity, the Leona Lewis “Labyrinth” tour, and Cirque du Soleil’s “Delirium” tour just to name a few. Alexandra is a Principle Artist with Christopher Harrison’s  Anti-Gravity NYC. She continues to expand her skills, create performances, and share her talents with younger artists.

Marcus Anthony - Regional Education Director of UCNYC graduated Cum Laude from Skidmore College in 2007 with a degree in Exercise Science. NSCS Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist - NASM Corrective Exercise  Specialist.  Marcus studied Changquan under Wei Qi He, contemporary Wushu Master and has studied various   Wushu weapons styles, yoga, weight training, parkour, and acrobatics has deepened his knowledge of the human body.  Marcus has travelled the world as personal trainer to the stars including musician Rufus Wainwright. He joined Urban Circus NYC in 2010 and after intensive training he began teaching Aerial Silks, Conditioning, and Aerial Partnering in 2012 becoming the Urban Circus NYC Regional Education Director in 2015.            2016 highlights incluse Marcus performed with Hybrid Movement Company in Fluid of Dusk and Schedule 40 for the CTFD Actors Fund Jubilee Performance and with Hybrid Movement Company performances for Babel.

​​Olga  Karmanskyis a former US Champion and two-time Pan American Champion in Rhythmic Gymnastics. Olga was named the Official Alternate for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. Her performance  background extends from contortion and aerial arts to theater and dance. Performance highlights include Pippin  (dir. Diane Paulus of “Hair,” “Porgy & Bess” & chor. Gypsy Snider of 7 digts, “Traces”), the Panic at the Disco Tour (MTV Music Video of The Year), Gymnastics     Superstars Tour (USA Post-Olympic Gymnastics Tour) and the Venice Biennale  International Art Festival (Venice, Italy).  Olga works to improve the flexibility of   professional ballet dancers, acrobats and  competitive pole dancers formed her advanced but egalitarian training  philosophy while living and training with the Russian Olympic team.  http://www.contortion-nyc.com/

 

 

Daisy Press, vocalist,is a prominent interpreter of experimental classical music in the US and Europe and hailed by the NYTimes as "intrepid" and "Passionate". For several years Ms. Press served on faculty at the Manhattan School of Music, where she received her Masters degree. She holds academic degrees from Sarah Lawrence College and Oxford University, and in the past she studied voice with Trish McCaffrey and North Indian ragas with Michael Harrison.Ms. Press was featured soloist at the "Akademie Der Künste" in November 2016 in Berlin, singing the music of Bernhard Lang with Trio Amos.  Graz, Austria, as part of ÖRF's "Musikprotokoll" festival, where she, along with the Aleph Guitar Quartet, presented three major new contemporary works: Bernhard Lang’s song cycle “The Cold Trip,”; Gerhard Winker's “Frostblues” (world premiere) and "Basho" by Czech composer Martin Smolka (world premiere).Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center and the Barbican in London. Additional credits include the New York premiere of Phillipe Leroux’s blindingly virtuosic “Voi(rex)" at Miller Theater alongside IRCAM; Attila-Joszef Fragments by Kurtag at Symphony Space, and Elliot Carter’s "Of Challenge and of Love." As an active and passionate teacher, Daisy utilizes a powerful synergistic mix of Western classical/pop vocal technique, sound healing, and North Indian ragas to coax her students into a fully-embodied, joyful manifestation of their vocal, emotional, and spiritual potential. Understanding Music and its vibration in relation to voice and movement an integral asset to an artists development.
